He has moved out of the LVMH building but his eponymous brand has just moved in to Galeries Lafayette Berlin. The ex-creative director of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, has opened a new in-store accessories shop in the German branch of the luxurious Parisian department store. This outpost retails Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags and other stuff on the area reserved on ground floor.

The new location is also ideal to lure tourists to the Mitte shopping stretch. The German Galeries Lafayette building is distinguishable with its modern glass facade and is a renowned international shopping destination.

On behalf of the brand, Caroline Morrison states that, “Berlin’s kind of its own market, especially for luxury, so maybe a bit more challenging, to be honest. But I think it’s great to have this visibility and this window in Galeries Lafayette, which is a historical partner for us, so it’s very positive.”
