Marc Jacobs’ move to Christian Dior is beyond the rumor mill now… We have received confirmation from our inside source at Dior that Jacobs’ move from Louis Vuitton is a done deal. Speaking confidently, our Dior insider has stated that “Marc Jacobs is indeed the new creative head.” Dior has been without a leader since March, when the disgraced designer John Galliano was sacked due to racist and anti-Semitic remarks. “Jacobs is a better fit, regardless,” added our Paris-based contact. LVMH’s Bernard Arnault, Jacobs and his business partner Robert Duffy are currently in Paris, finalizing the transition. The “done deal” is “awaiting signatures,” according to our source.
