Check out the California-inspired Maison Kitsuné Spring-Summer 2013 collections post-card lookbook, showcasing a romance between Chelsea Schuchman and Braydon Szafranski, in Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel, captured by Brad Elterman (having photographed David Bowie, Sex Pistols) and directed by André Saraiva.
“We were very inspired by the kicked-back, surfer-chic vibe of the west coast,” Masaya Kuroki, designer and co-founder of Maison Kitsuné, told us. “The aesthetic, the color palette, and lifestyle is a breath of fresh air and the perfect juxtaposition to city life. Having André Saraiva creatively direct this shoot resulted in a fun, whimsical love story captured at the Chateau Marmont…This was the most exciting lookbook ever done until today for me!”
The result is a sunshiny photoshoot, showcasing the two new quite-relaxed, quite-sporty and above all very chic, Men and Women Maison Kitsuné collections. The main and driving inspiration being a surfers’ aura crossed with a preppy taste.
