It seems we’ve seen a flurry of “creative” proposals going viral of late, from this guy who took 365 days to plan the perfect “will you marry me” to articles like this that show you how to film your big event. We can only imagine this puts a lot pressure on the guy (or gal) to do something special. Which brings us to Rosewood Little Dix Bay – the legendary resort located on stunning Virgin Gorda in the BVI’s – which just launched a special, curated service to help the “Average Joe” plan a fairytale engagement from start to end.
Apparently, one in three women claim they were disappointed by their proposal, which leads us to believe that there are a lot more lackluster experiences out there than we previously thought.
The resort’s brand new “Just Bring the Ring” engagement package gives guys the added edge of a coordination with on-site event staff (either in person or via phone or Skype) several times before and during their stay with Rosewood Little Dix Bay’s event staff, who will walk them through every moment of the proposal, discussing the perfect location, timing, music and any other personal touches they’d like to include. The day of the proposal, the staff will set up the location beautifully and coordinate spa treatments, activities and outings for the couple to make the day extra memorable.
On the day of the event, a professional photographer will capture the actual proposal from a hidden location. The couple can also opt to have formal engagement photos taken at Rosewood Little Dix Bay after the proposal, which can be used for their wedding website, save-the-dates, etc.
While we expect most couples won’t be ready to say ‘I do’ right away, couples who get engaged at Rosewood Little Dix Bay will receive a complimentary welcome cocktail party for their guests or complimentary spa treatments the morning of their wedding if they choose to marry at the resort.
The cost? Pretty reasonable. The package starts at $655 per night for Beach Front Cottage accommodations or higher, and includes daily breakfast for two, two 60-minute massages, one romantic dinner, and the 45-minute photography session.
What do you think? Would this be your perfect proposal?
