Looking for a versatile modern lamp to showcase in your home? Look no further than the fascinating Babele Lamp created by Manifattura Italiana Design. Four creative minds – Lapo Germasi, Gregorio Fracassi, Victor Pukhov and Francesco Massimello – imagined this playful lamp design as alternative to dull, hard to observe lights. Using an interesting concept, they developed a lamp made out of wooden strips that shapes according to your interaction.
A classic abat-jour silhouette was used as starting point – by dividing the lamp shape in sections, designers were able to create a stunning light effect by shuffling the pieces. The lamp’s versatility revolves around its light gaps and a fun assemble/disassemble game. The illuminating silhouette creates interesting shadows and a surprising atmosphere that inspires thoughts of creativity and playfulness while being defined by a dynamic, ever-changing structure.
