The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which was founded in 1998 by the Oscar-winning actor, will be hosting its third annual gala this month. The Foundation champions environmentalist causes, protecting the “world’s last wild places.” This year’s gala will be the biggest to date and will include a slew of celebrity guests and an extensive auction of rare memorabilia, unique vacation experiences, and contemporary art. The LDF has an extensive portfolio of grants and currently has a direct financial impact of over $59 million.
Items up for grabs at this year’s auction include a number of choice pieces donated by DiCaprio himself, such as the 18k white gold cufflinks the actor wore to the Oscars, as well as an 18k white gold Rolex engraved with the words “Best, Leo.” Those who were particularly impressed with DiCaprio’s performance in The Revenant will also have the chance to acquire a number of props carried by DiCaprio’s character Hugh Glass.
Other celebrity-related auction items include art by Adrien Brody, an opportunity to have Kevin Spacey come by your home and give a private performance, and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s humidor which is topped with a special seal for the Governor of California. Also up for grabs is a 1950 Jaguar which has been signed by a number of A-list stars including Charlize Theron, Orlando Bloom, and Robert Downey Jr.
