New Zealand’s Alloy Yachts recently set sail the 192-foot Ed Dubois-designed sailing yacht Kokomo. It is not only the largest yacht for builder Alloy Yachts, naval architect Dubois, and manager MCM, but it also takes the prize for largest yacht to come out of New Zealand. Commissioned by an Australian owner, Dubois acted as naval architect and exterior stylist on this third Kokomo. Redman Whiteley Dixon, based in the U.K., created the modern interior. Kokomo maxes out its 36-foot beam by accommodating 12 guests in five spacious staterooms, plus 12 crew in six en suite cabins. The yacht boasts 20,602 square feet of Doyle Sails and displaces 496 tons. When needed, twin 872-hp Caterpillar diesel C18 D engines can kick in. Two Fontaine Design Group custom tenders stow onboard. Kokomo is Lloyd’s classed. – From Robb Report
