People love their pets and go to various extent to shower love and attention on them. But Karl Lagerfeld leads the pack of pet-fanatics by designing a capsule collection after his feline pet Choupette. Playing the role of the muse for Monster Choupette, his latest collection of accessories, Choupette’s angry cartoonish appearance will be seen on a range of accessories.
Featured under Karl’s signature label, the capsule collection comprises of totes, small leather goods, shoes, scarves, T-shirs, sweatshirts and socks. Shaped out of Saddiano leather, the Monster Choupette pieces will be offered in black, navy and cream hues. The highlight of the collection is an autograph-like Choupette’s paw print on each piece.
WWD reports that Karl Lagerfeld’ s Monster Choupette collection, inspired by the most famous cat in the world, will hit the shelves in November.
And it doesn’t stop here! Karl Lagerfeld has just released a new book “Choupette – the Enchanted Life of a Fashion Cat” to pay tribute to the three-year-old fluffy white cat. The small 123-page hardback includes pictures of Choupette doing the usual cat stuff like curling up in a box and in the sink, playing with a feather toy, hiding in a shopping bag and more. Its a cat life can be defined as a new term for luxurious and royal, especially if you are fathered by Karl Lagerfeld.
