Karl Lagerfeld adds one more feather of becoming a newspaper publisher to his hat. If all that he has done and is still doing isn’t enough, the evolutionary creative genius is all set to launch his own newspaper. The announcement of the Karl Daily has already made it to the headlines and bestowed Karl with all the attention from fashion as well as media industry. As if all the space that Karl and his work cover across all the media platforms isn’t enough, a Karl-exclusive newspaper is all that the fashion mogul needs to boost his supremacy!

karl_daily_newspaperWWD reports that the debuting headline of The Karl Daily is ‘Haute Off the Press’. The designer newspaper will highlight Karl’s workaholic nature as well as his talents for sketching, wordplay, photography and winking humor. The aptly described “satirical” broadsheet will also carry four pages of advertising for his eponymous brands. The sheets will unfold to reveal all about his products like candles, watches, fragrances and leather goods. A comic strip, street-style photos and a list of hot spots round out the print content. Tongue-in-cheek elements include fictional personals and Choupette, the couturier’s pet cat, serving as guest editor and reporter. The newspaper also carries Lagerfeld’s fall campaign picturing model Kati Nescher posing in a mock newsstand stuffed with copies of The Karl Daily.karl_lagerfeld_sketchKarl Lagerfeld newspaper will be released on Sept. 20 and will be exclusive to the seven European cities where he operates freestanding stores for his signature brand. This will be followed by distribution in China, with copies also landing in select stores, hotels and other cool spots. It will also be backed with window displays, contests and digital components on social media and Karl.com.
