Simplicity is the best policy – it leads to creativity and functionality alongside great design. Designer Chris Martin captured this idea in his Mega Sofa Collection created for Stockholm based furniture company Massproductions. The inspiration behind these beautifully simple sofas lies in the shape of freshly baked loaves of bread seen by the designer one day in a bakery near his office.

“There was something about the risen bread against the metal wires that was instantly appealing and I wanted to transfer that sculptural idea to a sofa. Bread represents comfort, life and stability – perfect sentiments to include in a sofa!”

From that to the design of the Mega Sofa Collection there was only one step. Reminiscent of fresh bread rising just enough to slightly force metal wires, each of the modern furniture pieces has its own charm. Available in two-seater, three-seater and day bed versions, the sofas display subtle elegance perfect to showcase in a joyful atmosphere.
