Bringing its entire watch-making doings under one roof, Louis Vuitton has opened the doors of La Fabrique du Temps workshop in Geneva. Located in Meyrin, this state-of-the-art facility is now home to all the different métiers that contribute to Louis Vuitton watches. The brand, synonymous to travel, is all set to conquer all time zones with the inauguration of this new manufacture.
Encompassing over 4,000 square meters, the new facility is equipped with both traditional artisanal tools and is home to master watchmakers, engineers and designers who will be able to work in sync to create innovative time-telling devices.
The signature element of the French fashion house can be seen at the entrance of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in form of an exceptional display of antique trunks.
Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, Michael Burke, summed up the inauguration by stating, “At Louis Vuitton we like to say, ‘We make time.’ We are in an industry in which we are able to create something very tangible out of the most intangible of things, and that is time. We make time count.”
