We’ve heard that its custom to give your new spouse a wedding present, but it looks like George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin may have gone a bit more over-the-top than most. Rumors are flying that the duo purchased Aberdash House, a 5.5-acre private island estate in Britain’s Sonning-on-Thames.
The nearly 9,000-square-foot home features 10 bedrooms and amenities like a spa area, extensive gardens, boathouse and closed circuit TVs for security.
This will be Clooney’s fourth home, by our count – he owns a large property in Los Angeles as well as two others in Lake Como and Los Cabos.
