These exceptional lighting series you are about to see will be officially released to the market this December, just in time for the holidays. Up for a Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award, the Spun Lamps were designed by young and talented Alex Gilmour and Dominic Chong of Sydney-based design studio Evie Group. Modern and displaying a playful shape, the Spun Lamps will be available in three different sizes – small, medium and large – that can be used separate, in a matching bunch or even as a creative display of different sizes altogether.
Featuring a dynamic shape that seems to continually spin around its own axis, each element of the lighting series evokes the designer’s philosophy: “complexities are hidden, creating products that convey simplicity, elegance and above all, a timeless aesthetic.” Reminiscent in shape and concept to the traditional wooden spinning top, the Spun lamp can be placed facing upwards or downwards, depending on the desired light effect. With a frosted glass shade and chromed steel mirror finish in silver or gold, each lamp delivers great design, quality and elegance.
