This spring Harrods, the iconic London department store, will host a special event to commemorate the legendary Prada luxury label.
Titled ‘Pradasphere’, the event is set to run at Harrods throughout May 2014, and there will be a number of treats for fans of the brand.
Harrod’s fashion director Helen David said the “Pradasphere will transport our customer into the fabulous world of Prada here at Harrods, marrying two brands synonymous with luxury, design and creativity…We’ve worked with the Prada team behind the scenes to create a phenomenal, unique experience, celebrating the brand’s history as well as the creativity of today.”
First up is in an exhibition hosted on the store’s fourth floor, covering a selection of historic collections, collaborations and experiments from the famous label.
Prada will also present an exclusive capsule collection for the store, featuring a range of ready-to-wear pieces as well as bags, shoes and accessories. Creative director Miuccia Prada has apparently taken her creative inspiration from the brand’s extensive archives for the pieces.
Throughout the month, the store’s famed Exhibition Windows will be stocked with a mix of historic pieces and brand new creations, and visitors will also get the chance to indulge in a few extra treats at the first-ever Pradasphere Café inside the store.
