Actors Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to enter the wine business. For her debut wine, Barrymore has chosen to launch a Pinot Grigio from the northeast corner of Italy, just below the Alps, an area known for producing crisp white vino.
Her eponymously named Barrymore Pinot Grigio, produced in partnership with Wilson Daniels, is described as being a pale straw color with hints of apricot and citrus flavors — a wine that the actress, producer and director says reflects her style and personality: “fresh, dynamic and fun.”
The wine is fermented and aged in stainless-steel and the label features the actor’s family crest. A bottle of Barrymore Pinot Grigio will cost $19.99 (15EUR) and launch first in California before expanding its distribution later in the year.
The wine’s label, designed by street artist Shepard Fairey, contains the Barrymore family crest.
