Many of Los Cabos’ finest hotels and resorts still aren’t open following the devastation of Hurricane Odile, but at least one is implementing major changes before their planned early 2015 reopening date.
Ultra-luxe Capella Pedregal, long one of Pursuitist’s favorites, has dropped the Capella Hotels & Resorts management to become The Resort at Pedregal.
Details surrounding the rebrand are murky at best — The Resort alleges mismanagement and contract violations, which Capella disputes. A press release war between the two is currently being waged, and we’re not quite sure who will emerge the winner.
But for now, here’s what we know: the resort has a new general manager, who has worked at a number of high-profile hotels. Funds have been raised and distributed to help those families impacted by the hurricane.
Many details are up in the air, but the new resort promises to retain the ultra-luxury level of service it is known for, as well as the signature personal assistant service many guests, including ourselves, loved.
We can’t wait to see what happens, and wish the resort and all impacted by the hurricane a speedy recovery.
