After seeing Architrend Architecture‘s Villa GM featured as a dream home, this next residential project also deserves to be on the dream home list. Part of the same Sicilian studio’s portfolio, Villa T in Ragusa, Sicily, displays the same eye for details. Spreading over two stories, interior spaces open up and close to the surroundings via glass and concrete walls designed to protect the privacy of the inhabitants while gathering the best views of the surroundings.
Located in the Hyblaean Mountains, the property conveys a sense of blissful isolation – Villa T’s contemporary architecture completes the natural environment as a modern focal point within the landscape. Outdoor living spaces are used just as much as the interior ones and this indoor/outdoor connection is clearly visible. The double-height ceiling of the living area, pierced by a sleek single beam staircase leading up to the first floor, imitates the openness of the outside world – which is right behind the glass wall. A pitched roof makes the residence look like it reaches for the sky – now isn’t that dream home material?
