Dream homes are always personalized according to the client’s wishes, as well as the land’s typology. The contemporary Omnibus House presents its interiors as a set of social and private spaces caught between two corridors open to the surroundings via extensive glazing. Designed by Gubbins Arquitectos and located in Cachagua, Chile, this unusual home creates a different perspective on residential spaces.
Concrete, wood and glass merge in an apparently effortless stunning design that surprises a special kind of living. Indoor and outdoor become one, while the rooftop terrace extends the usable space even more. Oriented towards the north, the modern home collects natural sunlight throughout the day, giving off excess heat during the night. Re-discovering an urban way of living within a forested context, the Omnibus House responds to the owner’s requests in both form and function.
