Monk’s Shadow Residence can easily be considered a dream home. Designed by Kendle Design Collaborative, the luxurious home in Paradise Valley, Arizona, shelters 7,400 square feet of interior living spaces divided in two distinct programs – a two-level volume consisting of main living areas, roof decks and terraces overlooking beautiful vistas and a zero edge pool. The second program is made up of a guest suite, office space, a private workshop and the garage. Part of a 1.25 acre property, the modern house is subtly defined by the presence of an imposing natural element – Camelback Mountain.
The Scottsdale-based company strove to construct a desirable collection of spaces where comfort meets luxury in a promise for a better life. After enjoying the asymmetric architecture of the Redding Residence – also part of the architect’s portfolio – this inspiring architectural project comes to show that the creative architects can build customized dwellings perfectly adapted to both the surroundings and the inhabitant’s lifestyle.
