Prefabricated residential constructions do not necessarily maintain a boring, unattractive design. This is proven by a prefabricated timber framed property in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. Adorning a gentle slope located right where a meadow meets the forest, this fantastic residence was designed by Dutch architectural studio Kombinat Architects. Known as the MJ House, the interesting collection of interior spaces constructs a dreamy atmosphere.
Detached from the road and overlooking the town from above the garage, the MJ House opens towards northwest. This separation in level allowed the architects to construct the living areas separate from the private ones. Although there are no corridors and the access is made via the living room, the house is functional and extremely comfortable. Displaying a larch wood facade, the minimalist residence is a dream home of small proportions.
