Located in one of Ontario’s most popular ski zones, this elegant chalet in Collingwood displays a contemporary appeal perched on a sloping site. Rising two stories in the air, the residence belongs to a family who enjoys ski as much as contemporary art. Known under a name that does it justice, Maison Glissade was imagined by Toronto-based Atelier Kastelic Buffey as a striking modern house that adorns the property in both summer and winter.
Located at the base of a ski slope, this wonderful family home gathers unobstructed views of the dynamic ski resort through large windows, protecting the inhabitant’s privacy at the same time via blurred windows where necessary. The relaxing vibe offered by interior spaces can be experienced throughout the house – the first floor is occupied by ski storage, three modest bedrooms, two bathrooms and a master bedroom opening towards a field, while the second floor shelters the living room, dining room, kitchen and an office, plenty of space for a relaxing weekend or holiday getaway.
