Today’s dream home comes from Doblado Architects‘ portfolio. Completed in 2011, the 2,786 square foot residence was constructed on a longitudinal lot, which challenged the architects to come up with a modern solution for a comfortable urban lifestyle. The San Isidro-based studio created a concrete and glass home focusing on expanding the views seen from the inside, but protecting the inhabitant’s privacy in the process. From outside, you can’t see the impressive architecture, just a few glimpses from behind the green fence.
Located in La Planicie, Peru, the residence is known as House in La Planicie. Its two floors were designed to be occupied by both private and public spaces. The ground floor is shaped out of the living and dining rooms, kitchen, the master bedroom, an additional guest bedroom and service area. Upstairs, the program includes two more bedrooms, bathrooms and a lounge zone. An indoor/outdoor pool right under the staircase provides relaxing moments in any weather. Complete with a large terrace in the back yard, this partly glazed home looks impressive and luxurious.
