Imagined by creative Korean design group bang by min, the contemporary H-House in Seoul, Korea, is a private dream home fit for three generations. Creative craftsmanship was employed during all stages of design and construction, creating a light-flooded, carefully ventilated collection of spaces. Located on a slightly sloped land, the modern residence was divided into separate zones for each generation, with the second floor open to socialization. Folding doors and movable walls can create different space within the home, adding or subtracting privacy from the equation.
The client was very satisfied with the end result, accentuating the idea of enjoying a comfortable, private and enlightening lifestyle. A courtyard and sunken garden connect the lower floor to the roof, creating ventilation and lighting possibilities. The basement floor was designed as a commercial space for rent, adding value to the overall property with its own modern design.
