Based on features like convenience and familiarity, this surprisingly modern apartment in the Spanish town of Albaida is inspired by the owner’s emotions. Spanish interior design studio Cuartopensante imagined this 1,400 square foot apartment as a playground for modern shapes, functionality features and inviting design. Divided into three main areas, the Doble Dueto Apartment displays a fascinating composition of building materials and colors: gold leaf, oak, white and black were used to accentuate the wood and HI-MACS®, creating a contemporary design approach.
This new generation of natural acryl stone – HI-MACS® – was used to define the interior arrangement of the modern apartment. The kitchen worktop, some of the coverings and various elements of the main washroom were built out of this modern material that has interesting technical characteristics and is only 9 millimeters thick in this project. Each of the public and private spaces are flooded with natural light, as the owners requested. Continuity in design was achieved by using wood as a binding element and HI-MACS® as an accentuating detail. Are you interested in using this combination in your next project?
