Casa Cardenas is a contemporary residence designed by Parque Humano and located in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Its exterior appearance and floor to ceiling windows allow the project to integrate well in its landscape.
The architecture planning of the residence was conditioned by various challenges: “For the concept of this project we have taken advantage of the triangular character of the plot, the slope of the land and the views towards the Cerro Gordo´s Natural Reserve. The building has been conceived as a homogeneous mass, hollowing out a huge opening with an inviting forced perspective effect caused by the asymmetric walls that frames the natural panorama”, explained the architects.
Casa Cardenas in Mexico is structured on two levels. The ground floor accommodates the common areas (a large open plan living and dining space plus kitchen), while the upper level is reserved for the more private spaces and hosts the bedrooms. The interior design is highly modern and has a minimalist approach, with wooden accents adding a warm feel. The living room is an open invite to socializing. Literally opening up towards the pool and to an amazing landscape, this residence is the perfect setting for an opulent, stylish gathering with dancing and cocktails by the pool.
