Overlooking a beautiful coastal landscape and having a privileged, secluded location, Carpinteria Foothills Residence inspires good living. Designed by Neumann Mendro Andrulaitis Architects, the project features an elegant contemporary architecture, with glazed floor to ceiling windows that allow panoramic vistas of the spectacular natural environment.
Oak trees on the site influenced the planning of this project in a positive way. According to the architects, “the strategy was to separate the guesthouse, pool and pool house from the main house, by locating them amongst the oaks on a lower terrace. The smaller structures were easier to place around the mature oak trees without disturbing their root systems. Each structure has its own orientation and privacy.” The property also features a generous courtyard with plenty of room for barbecue and outdoor parties.
Carpinteria Foothills Residence is composed of an open plan living room, a master suite, a guest room, an indoor office for too and a private den. The interiors are imposing and showcase a modern design. The large open plan living and dining area allows the inhabitants to fully enjoy nature from the comfort of their home, while listening to peaceful music and standing in front of the fireplace. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also open towards the landscape.
