Renovating a residence can become a fascinating trip into the architectural maze, and when the clients and the architects work together in a sustained effort to construct a breathtaking home, the end result cannot be anything but exceptional. Designed by Winn Wittman Architecture, in collaboration with Jeremy Broussard and builder Gary Robinson, the renovated Acquavilla Residence rises from the ashes of an ’80s house only to display a luxurious, opulent architecture and interior design. Located on Lake Travis, near Austin, Texas, this luxury villa contrasts with its surrounding, inducing the idea of a fairytale lifestyle.
The lakeside property reflects the flamboyance found in the owner’s personality. A custom metal panel system featuring a LED illuminated fleur-de-lis pattern solved the facade’s aesthetic problem, while the custom entry screen features an “Acquavilla” pattern that welcomes guest with a unique display. Garages were designed to look like showrooms, beautifully displaying the owner’s cars. Architects insulated the structure with bio-foam and protected the residence from harsh sunlight with the use of awnings, window films and custom panels. The outcome is simply amazing.
