Chef Michael Symon says home cooks can make the same sophisticated dishes he creates on the reality television competition “Iron Chef America.” In his new show, “Cook Like an Iron Chef,” Symon, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, shows viewers how to prepare dishes centered on one ingredient, which is the basis of the show.
Michael Symon’s “Cook Like An Iron Chef” premieres in July on The Cooking Channel, the latest cable network from Scripps Networks Interactive, parent company of Food Network, HGTV, Travel, DYI Network and other lifestyle channels. “It’s essentially a show for the people who’ve watched Food Network forever and are ready to learn something more advanced or more creative,” said Symon, who begins taping 13 episodes next month.
