Surrounded and inspired by an Argentinian forest, BAK Architects‘ AV House proudly rises among tall trees on a slightly sloped terrain. The architectural orientation promotes interaction between indoors and outdoors, gathering views of natural vegetation found all around. Located in Villa Gesell, Buenos Aires, Argentina, the concrete and glass residence is perfectly adapted to its surroundings, in terms of design and comfort.
The surrounding Mar Azul forest can be enjoyed from inside the volumetric architecture arranged naturally into the slope. Featuring basic summer house spaces like two bedrooms, one of which has its private bathroom, an integrated kitchen and lots of outdoor spaces, the AV House occupies 100 square meters on a 20m x 30m plot of land. Aligned on an east-west axis, the house is accessed in the middle of the floor plan, inviting owners and guests to ascend to the bedroom area for rest or descend to relax in the living space, by the fireplace, enjoying a panoramic view of the surrounding forest from anywhere.
