Cocktails at Home: The Empress Negroni Rosa from Canada’s “City of Gardens”

Pursuitist - 5-Star Luxury

Negroni variations are seemingly endless but none is more beautiful than the Empress Negroni Rosa made with the new expression from the makers of award-winning Empress 1908 Indigo Gin, the signature gin of the grand Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia — Canada’s “Castle on the Coast” since 1908.

With a bright ruby hue and balanced flavor profile, the signature Negroni Rosa cocktail elevates the classic Italian Negroni with colorful Empress 1908’s Elderflower Gin, a subtly floral gin that pays homage to the distillery’s home city of Victoria, British Columbia — AKA “the City of Gardens.” Empress Elderflower Rose Gin is crafted in copper pot stills and features a bright floral bouquet of nine botanicals complemented by citrus and spice notes and a hint of sweetness,

If you’re not lucky enough to enjoy an Empress Negroni Rosa at the elegant Fairmont Empress in Victoria, it’s a new specialty of the house at The Bar Room in New York City, America’s oldest tavern Bell in Hand in Boston, and Trio in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Or you can make the Empress Negroni Rosa the specialty of your house with this official recipe.
