Vacations around the world can bring inspiring ideas used at home when redecorating. Designers use international and traditional inspiration to shape quality objects reminiscent of your own travel to China, for example. Designer Matteo Ugolini created a lighting collection named Cell, an artistic endeavor to unify modern design and traditional inspiration with a hint of romanticism.
Designed for Italian manufacturing company Karman, the indoor and outdoor lamps display their inspiration from thousands of years ago, back in the days when in China, lantern light first started to fly in the sky. Surrounded by a sharp stainless steel wire cage, the lamp is made of PMMA, a transparent thermoplastic used as shatter-resistant alternative to glass. This collection evokes both the power and quality of modern industry and innovation and the inspiration drawn from traditional roots. Unique and unconventional, these decorative lights will accompany your evenings in the garden before winter falls and further on, nights immersed in the wonderland of a book indoors, where the cold is kept away by fireplace flames.
