Farm-to-table cuisine will impart personal meaning this year at Wildflower Farms in the New York’s bucolic Hudson Valley with Chef’s Atelier: Field to Craft with Le Creuset events. The immersive, three-part culinary series is a meeting of local terroir and French culinary legacy, with Wildflower Farms and Le Creuset gourmet cookware blending hands-on learning with exquisite meals during a luxury farm stay at the stunning 140-acre Auberge Collection property.

Designed to inspire, educate and elevate everyday cooking, the series focuses on interactive instruction from three of the world’s most highly sought-after chefs, with programming and menus rooted in the ingredients grown on-site at Wildflower Farms. Each Chef’s Atelier experience will include guided foraging of the farm co-led by Wildflower Farms’ Farm Director and the guest chef, connecting guests to the freshest seasonal ingredients; a chef-led cooking demonstration at Maplehouse, the property’s culinary venue; and the use of Le Creuset’s exceptional cookware, including new products.

Participating guests-in-training will also be rewarded with luxury overnight accommodations at Wildflower Farms; a shared lunch featuring ingredients foraged from the farm and the dish prepared during the chef demonstration; an intimate four-course dinner and wine tasting featuring a menu presented by the notable chef du jour; and a special gift from Le Creuset for guests to take home along with the new cooking skills they learned during their memorable “skill-cation.” Since 1925, Le Creuset has been inspiring longstanding culinary traditions as the first in colorful cookware, the finest in quality and design and the favorite for generations.

The workshop and dinner series will feature unique experiences on June 28, September 3, and October 18, 2006. The first session is will with Chef Hillary Sterling, four-time James Beard Award finalist and Executive Chef of the beloved New York City dining destination, Ci Siamo. Her long-awaited cookbook, Ammazza! (Simon & Schuster), features 100+ seasonal recipes showcasing the dishes that have earned her acclaim.

Chefs for the second and third Chef’s Atelier programs will be announced soon. Beyond the three signature sessions, additional Chef’s Atelier classes will be offered throughout the summer and fall, giving guests more opportunities to explore seasonal cooking, foraging, and Le Creuset’s cookware. Tickets are available here.
