Celebrate National Coffee Day with These Delicious Cocktails

National Coffee Day is on September 29th, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a bespoke coffee cocktail by some of the best restaurants and cocktail bars in New York City. So shake up a cocktail, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Negroni José  | Created at Añejo, NYC

1 oz/ El Buho Espadin Mezcal

1 oz Campari

.75 oz Sweet Vermouth

.75 oz Blue Bottle Cold Brew

.25 oz Kahlua

Add big cube to rocks glass, garnish with orange slice.

1 oz Pierde Almas Mezcal

1 oz Caffo Bitter

.5 oz Branca Menta

.5 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur

1.5 oz Krogstadt Aquavit

.5 oz Mr. Black

.25 oz Demerara

2 Dashes of Ango, Orange

Add big cube to rocks glass, garnish with a lemon and orange peel.

.5 oz lemon

.5 oz simple syrup

.75 oz Coffee Liqueur

1.5 oz Jamaican rum

Cream

Whip shake, serve over ice in a Collins glass. Garnish with an orange slice and nutmeg.

6 g Demerara Sugar

11 ml Cold Brewed Coffee

35 ml House Roasted Buckwheat Tea

57 ml Whiskey

The cocktail is batched following this recipe and cooked sous vide at 150F for 1 hour, then bottled and kept in the freezer for service. To serve, pour 1/8 oz of Pernod Absinthe into a chilled rocks glass, then place 1 large ice cube over it. Slowly pour 4 oz of the cooked cocktail from the freezer over the ice and let it louche the absinthe at the base. Garnish with a grapefruit zest.
