Audio equipment specialists Bowers & Wilkins have released a limited run of 200 new T7 Gold Edition Speakers. Functionally similar to the original T7, the flashy gold T7 comes with the added bonus of a special carrying case designed by British fashion house Burberry. The companies site a shared passion for music as one of the reasons for this team up. Burberry runs the initiative Burberry Acoustic which helps out new and emerging artists.
There seems to be a superfluity of Bluetooth speakers these days, but perhaps none are so fashion-conscious as the T7 Gold Edition. On the tech side of things, the speakers themselves can play for 18 hours on a full charge and are equipped with the Bluetooth aptX codec for high-quality wireless streaming. The Burberry carrying case is made of leather and has suede lining. As a whole, the T7 Gold Speakers and their fancy carrying case are retailing at $995. For comparison’s sake, the regular old T7 will run you about $430, meaning that consumers are paying a significant amount for that Burberry brand design.
