Do you already miss sunny days of summer as I do? If so, this excellent picnic table is perfect for your warm indoors and reminds you of the pleasurable picnics in the park. The picNYC TABLE was designed to bring a green environment inside urban apartments.
This “rural experience of picnicking” – as the designers of Haiko Cornelissen Architects describe it – is brought inside urban apartments where owners take into consideration urban farming methods. It helps you better connect with a natural surrounding – taking care of the grass challenges you to think about how to keep it green without using chemicals – you are eating on it, after all! The picNYC table has a grass table top resting on a folded aluminum frame. This solid grass container is lightweight, but strong enough to support the soil and stones needed for drainage.
“Suddenly spilling water becomes a necessity instead of a problem, wine glasses need coasters not to prevent ring stains but to avoid tumbling.” Cut by hand, the grass is constantly reminding you of the connection to natural elements. Insert some flowers or herbs here and there and enjoy this fascinating experience.
