The eReader wars continue. This time it’s Barnes & Noble’s turn to make a strike.
The behemoth bookseller announced the latest version of the Nook eReader – a black and white touchscreen device weighing less than 7.5 ounces. It is billed as a “Simple Touch Reader”.
B&N raises the stakes in the reader wars by pricing the new Nook at only $139.
B&N boasts the new Nook has a battery life of two months. The touchscreen will improve usability, with easier page turning and a more fluid experience.
The device is Wi-Fi only.
The new Nook should appeal to users who want a dedicated, sophisticated eReader at a reasonable price.
