Apple has trumped the CES with some news with the opening of the Mac App Store.
The store can be accessed by Snow Leopard users who update their software to version 10.6.6. What users get is an App Store application which works just like the App Store on any iPhone or iPad. The store has over 1,000 apps to kick off.
The store is organized in categories, and offers descriptions, reviews and ratings.
Users of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad should little difficulties using the interface.
