Apple has taken the top spot from Nokia to become the world’s biggest smartphone company. And they only make two versions of the iPhones (one for Verizon, and one for AT&T). Nokia continues to slip, reporting that their smartphone shipments declined by 34 percent — and shipped 16.7 Nokia smartphones. Apple, on the the other hand, shared in their earnings report that they shipped 20.3 iPhones during the same period. Oh, and they haven’t launched a new iPhone in 2011 (yet).
