An anonymous bidder has paid $610,000 to have coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook. The bid was part of a charity auction hosted by Charity Buzz. The winner gets to spend a little time (30-60 minutes) with Cook at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino. Proceeds will go to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
The winning bid came just minutes before the auction closed. 86 bids were placed, with most coming from companies that already do (or want to do) business with Apple.
The anonymous winner can bring one guest. Both guests are required to sign a nondisclosure agreement, and cannot tweet or blog during the meeting.
For $610,000, let’s hope the coffee is decent.
