Stepping out of the restrooms and leaving the Spring 2014 Campaign behind, Alexander Wang moves on to the detention center for its Fall 2014 campaign. The newest advertising campaign is based on the theme of survival. This time too, legendary fashion photographer Steven Klein has been commissioned to capture the naughtiness of Anna Ewers along with Vanessa Moody, Kaitlin Aas, Lexi Boling and Kat Hessen.
Three of the suggestive images show a model lying on the floor, sneaking a look up at other model’s skirt.
Styled by Karl Templer at St. Cecilia in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, the promotional images suggest that the models have been confined in a remote location and are forced into “survival mode.” Wearing the label’s pieces from the latest collection, the models’ hair-styling was taken care of by Anthony Turner and make-up by Diane Kendal.
The American fashion designer reasoned about the theme of the Fall 2014 Campaign, stating, “I went to boarding school for five years so there was a familiarity to the environment for me. The idea of survival at a reformation camp was the theme of the campaign. In those limiting environments, there are always temptations to rebel, to react and to test yourself.”
Alexander Wang Fall 2014 Campaign is scheduled to run in major fashion titles including Love, CR Fashion Book and Interview. It will also be seen on a New York City billboard during the fashion week.
