Amid bagpipes and rays of sunshine, over 1,000 people, including fashion’s elite, gathered at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London to celebrate the late Alexander McQueen. McQueen was as controversial as he was brilliant – leaving his mark on the fashion industry in many ways.
Mourners included actress Sarah Jessica Parker, singer Björk, models Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and many others. Björk sang ‘Gloomy Sunday’ – based on the Billie Holiday version.
McQueen, committed suicide on Feb. 11, only days after the death of his beloved mother.
