More than 500 women proudly sported the colors of LVMH and its companies in the 2013 La Parisienne race. Here’s the official news from LVMH:
Over 500 women from various Group companies as well as LVMH headquarters laced up their running shoes on Sunday, September 15th to compete in the 14th annual six-kilometer La Parisienne women’s foot race. This race is an inspiring case study in team spirit.
Converging from their different companies—Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Benefit, Guerlain, and others—our dedicated runners were able to meet in a space large enough to welcome all of them the first time, since this year the Group hosted a tent flying its own colors. “A Sephora team has run in the race for the past several years, but this year we were thrilled to be together at the LVMH corporate tent,” enthused Emmanuelle of Sephora. “It gave us a comfortable and friendly environment in which to get ready and mix with our colleagues from other Group companies.”
The women all enrolled in the race under the names of their separate companies and gave of their best for their teams: two even finished in the fastest forty. “I’m proud to see so many of my colleagues joining forces on a Sunday morning and making a genuine team effort for this race, which is a tribute to Parisian women,” said Frédérique Rousseau, head of Human Resources for the LVMH parent company.
Mounia, from Make up For Ever, shared was equally enthusiastic: “It’s a fabulous opportunity to get together and shows that although we’re all from individual companies, we’re also very proud to be part of LVMH.” Save the date next year to run again and show a commitment to enterprise-wide spirit!
