Irishman Kieran Folliard launched 2 GINGERS Irish whiskey in January 2012. Distilled at the famed Kilbeggan Distillery in Ireland, formerly called the Cooley Distillery, 2 GINGERS was inspired by Folliard’s fiery-haired mother and aunt, whose faces are found on the bottle.
Folliard envisioned 2 GINGERS as a drink of possibilities – a spirit that is crafted with mixability in mind. The result is a smooth, malty and slightly sweet premium, blended Irish whiskey.
On its own, 2 GINGERS, a four-year-aged blend, starts out smooth and a bit sweet, with hints of honey and citrus. A woodiness emerges with notes of caramel and vanilla in the finish. But the blend and taste and texture of 2 GINGERS make it an ideal whiskey for mixing.
“The brand is dedicated to those who, like me, choose to actively pursue their passions, and I hope the spirit of our whiskey will inspire consumers across the country to follow their own,” said Folliard, Chief Operating Officer of 2 GINGERS® and Chief Brand Ambassador for the Kilbeggan Distilling Co. in the U.S.
The 2 GINGERS brand is slowly being rolled out across the country.
2 GINGERS will cost you about $20 for a bottle.
