Over the weekend, legendary director Martin Scorsese assembled A-list stars Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in New York. The Oscar-winning Scorsese is directing the trio in a casino-themed short film for Melco Crown Entertainment’s new Studio City resort in Macau. This is the first time that the renown Hollywood actors have collaborated together in the same Scorsese film.

Newlywed Pitt, who flew into New York from France after his recent wedding to actress Angelina Jolie, flashed his Robert Procop designed wedding ring before going on set with De Niro and DiCaprio.

The casino-themed short film was written by The Wolf of Wall Street screenwriter and Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter.

Scorsese’s short film, produced by Brett Ratner’s RatPac Entertainment, will premiere in 2015 during the opening of the Hollywood-themed Studio City resort and casino in Macau. The 2,000 room resort will reportedly feature a 2,300 seat theatre, 500 gaming tables, more than 1,500 slot machines, Taubman shopping mall and an entertainment studio.

“This is an unprecedented collaboration because it’s the first time Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio ever worked with Martin Scorsese together in the same film. Leonardo has done five films with Mr. Scorsese and Robert De Niro has done eight with Mr. Scorsese but never together,” RatPac Entertainment told the media.

“We are extremely excited about our newest integrated resort in Macau, which remains firmly on track to open in mid-2015. The property’s cinematic theme and vast array of unique entertainment and attractions will enhance Macau’s appeal as a leading tourist destination in Asia,” Lawrence Ho, of Melco Crown Entertainment, stated of the company’s $2.3 billion Studio City project.

Numerous luxury hotels are planned for the location, including properties from Ritz-Carlton, W Hotel, Marriott Hotel and Tang Hotel.
