Reports have been circulating for months now at Motor Trend and elsewhere about Toyota’s plan to forge ahead with its Lexus brand in Europe by developing a BMW 1 Series and Audi A3-fighter — and now we have the first official evidence in the sketch, er, flesh. Set to debut in concept form at next month’s rapidly approaching 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the as yet unnamed premium compact segment vehicle is also being billed as an indication of the future design direction of the Lexus brand. – from MotorTrend
