No, it’s not in Washington, DC. Not Philadelphia. Not even New York City. One of the most surprising — and award-winning — fireworks displays for Independence Day is in the 4.4 square mile town of Addison, TX.
Addison Kaboom Town! annually brings over a half million people to the small ‘burb of some 16,000 people, which (also surprisingly) has more restaurants per capita than any city in the US (over 180) and 23 hotels with fantastic July 4th specials. Each year, the town hosts its pyrotechnic extravaganza on July 3rd, so that it kicks off the celebration of American Independence across the country.
Each year, Addison Kaboom Town is named among the top fireworks shows in the country. For more than three decades, this city-wide fantastic fireworks party has set off in Addison’s 12-acre Addison Circle Park, with watch parties at all of those nearby restaurants and hotels. The 30-minute spectacle is presented with an accompanying Addition Airport Air Show, which can also be seen from everywhere in town. Afterwards, while area traffic calms, those in the know stay at the Park for an exclusive concert from famed party band Emerald City.
