Looking to have dinner and drinks with Hollywood’s biggest movie star (also known as Leonardo Dicaprio) aboard his person yacht? That opportunity was made available at the celebrity-studded Cannes amfAR Gala, which raises money for AIDs and HIV research via a charity auction.
The amfAR Gala, held each year at Cannes, took place in a massive tent outside the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc. It featured such luminaries as DiCaprio, Tom Ford, Eva Longoria, Robin Thicke, Harvey Weinstein, Isabella Rosselini, Michael Fassbender, Karlie Kloss, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Rodriguez, Marion Cotillard and many others.
The event raised over $30 million for the charity. Dinner with Leo on his yacht, which sold for a tidy $280,000, was just one of the many items auctioned. A Jeff Koons sculpture was the top selling item, going for $13 million. Dicaprio also donated a Banksy portrait, which sold for $1 million.
The event was opened by Charli XCX, and closed by Imagine Dragons.
