Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo is introducing a made-to-measure service (www.ferragamo.com) for tailored suits, jackets, trousers, and outerwear exclusively through the company’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in Manhattan. The move follows the success of the store’s made-to-measure footwear program, which launched in the late 1990s. The process begins with a meeting with Ferragamo’s tailor in the store, or elsewhere by private appointment, for a set of precision measurements. Clients then select from an array of styles and 350-plus material swatches, which include cashmere blends, silk blends, and leather. Ferragamo produces the garments in its workshops in Florence within four to six weeks. Suits are priced from $2,500, wool blazers from $1,800. – From Robb Report
