A luxurious mountain resort in Park City, Utah — the training ground for professional winter athletes in the US — is offering private skating lessons with an Olympic speed skater who moonlights as a hotel valet.
Guests staying at the Waldorf Astoria Park City, a resort that attracts snow bunnies for its premium skiing and winter activities, are being offered private two-hour skating lessons with Olympian Patrick Meek, member of the US National Speed Skating Team competing at Sochi.
For $120, the athlete known as “The Mule” among his fellow teammates will share skating tips and tricks in a two-hour lesson.
Meek works at the hotel as part of the Hilton HHonors Team USA career program, which provides discounted hotel rates to traveling US Olympians as well as flexible career opportunities that work around their strict training schedules.
