Along with being recognized as the most valuable luxury brand and one of the most profitable brands in the world, Louis Vuitton also demonstrates its rich heritage by making its presence felt in form of exhibitions. The latest demonstration by the French luxury house has been curated by Olivier Saillardset and scheduled from December 4 until February 21, 2016, at the Grand Palais in Paris.According to WWD, the Volez, Voguez, Voyagez — Louis Vuitton exhibition will trace the brand’s journey from historic trunk-maker, founded in 1854, to the modern luxury giant it has become. Featuring scenography by Artistic Director and Set Designer, Robert Carsen, the exhibition is split into nine themes and spans nine rooms of the palace’s Salon d’Honneur. It is designed to highlight the Louis Vuitton’s connection with trunks and travel, from past to present and everything between that.Rendering a vision of Louis Vuitton’s heritage and its contribution to lifestyle, travel and fashion, the exhibition will put on display the first trunks from 1906, classic trunks, travel connection, Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s antique personal collection, beauty essentials, fine fragrances, delicate jewelry boxes, celebrity luggage and much more.Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton, states, “For this exhibition, Olivier Saillard has immersed himself in the archives of our Maison to decode its secrets. He delivers a fresh vision of our past, present and future.”
